Do you wear shoes?

Do you get up in the morning and get dressed immediately and put your shoes on?  Do you, most always, have shoes on inside your home and out?  I don’t.  I don’t put shoes on unless I am going some where.  To the store, doctors office, someone else’s house, somewhere outside my house.  I might have socks on, but no shoes.

Well some years back I had problems with my feet and the doctor said I needed to where shoes with orthotics.  But I never wore them in the house.  Then when I became diabetic, they said I should never go around barefoot because it was then too easy for me to hurt my feet.  Something a diabetic has to worry about constantly.  I still didn’t wear them in the house.  Now I’m retired and in the house more than I am any where else I still don’t wear them in the house.

Recently my arthritis has started to bother me in my hips.  I have started to have a muscle cramp that runs from my hip to my right knee.  I assumed I hurt myself because the muscle was cramping up.  I have been trying to stay off of it and let it heal.  Applying ice and sometimes the heating pad.  These things help for a little bit, but it comes right back.

Then I noticed that, if I had my shoes on, it hurt less.  So I started wearing my shoes around the house and it started hurting less.  The only time it hurts bad is when I don’t wear my shoes.  I guess I will have to change and wear shoes, even in the house.

So I was wondering.  Do you wear shoes?

I don’t wear shoes in the house (as a yoga practitioner, I never know when I’m going to just stop and spontaneously do a pose), but I always wear them outside.

I have diabetes and joint problems too, I hardly ever wear shoes, unless I’m going out! Raised by country folks ☺️ Glad your feeling better with the shoes on!

I also have more comfort with my shoes on. I was raised a barefooter on a farm, but now my feet ache and cramp if I dont wear my breathable tennis shoes.

Another don’t wear shoes in the house gal here. Well, unless it’s chilly and then I have on my dearfoam slippers but those don’t really count, right? 🙂

Sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing pain, but glad to hear you are finding relief . . . even if it is from dreaded shoes. 😉
